About Beyond 47
A movement rooted in love, dignity, and the belief that every person — regardless of ability — deserves a full place in society.
Beyond 47 is dedicated to empowering individuals with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, and other developmental and physical conditions to live fulfilling, independent lives.
We believe every individual has unique gifts, strengths, and potential. Our organisation is focused on providing support, resources, and advocacy to help each person reach their full potential.

Our Journey
2010 — Beyond 47 was founded with a focus on supporting individuals with Down syndrome (Trisomy 47).
2015 — We expanded our services beyond Down syndrome to support individuals with autism, cerebral palsy, and other conditions.
Today — We serve hundreds of individuals and families across multiple conditions, providing community leadership and support.

Why “Beyond 47”?
Most people have 46 chromosomes. People with Down syndrome have 47. Our name is a celebration of that extra chromosome — and a declaration that we see far beyond the diagnosis.
